It is wonderful that the Tate is celebrating the fact that painting is still the most popular form of artistic expression in this country. I wasn’t blown away by the selection of artists they chose, however. The highlight for me was Simon Ling (pictured) who paints beautiful pictures of the kinds of buildings and scenes you would usually not even glance at. Lovely stuff.
