This is the third in my series of seascapes this year, worked up form sketches made during our holiday to North Cornwall earlier this year. In this painting I wanted to capture that coldness of the sand in the early morning before the sun has warmed it up. This is one of my favourite coastal footpaths that starts in Rock on the beach and takes you over hills, through a golf course, back onto the beach again and then more cliffs hugging the coastline all the while.
