What will we cover?
Each week there will be a different theme centred on one of the following topics. We will paint, draw, use collage and make prints.
- Sketching, drawing using a variety of media; pencils/ charcoal/ pastels
- Experimental mark-making
- Composition; how to start a painting
- Line, tone, patten, texture, colour
- Scale, spatial relationships and perspective
- Observational sketching and painting from life
- Volume and form
- Colour theory

Sketching tour of the Wallace Collection: Adults
Thursday 23rd March 11am- 2.30pm, £60
We will be exploring the Wallace Collection through the medium of sketching. The tour will take in the exceptional collection of furniture, arms and porcelain and the long gallery with its Old Master paintings. No experience necessary, just an open mind!

- Observational sketching from life
- Scale, spatial relationships and perspective
What to bring: A sketchpad, A4 or A3, variety of pencils, 2B – 6B, optional colouring pencils/ oil pastels/ sketching pens non messy media
