Mimosa

50x50cm oil on canvas

There is a fabulous mimosa tree in a neighbouring street which is so big and bountiful, it is unmissible. I was actually out scouting for blossom but was waylaid by this.  I started the painting with the vase on a wooden table but it looked a bit boring so I added in some stripy wrapping paper as a base. (I would love a stripy tablecloth, must look out for one). The canvas isn’t currently framed but I can arrange framing if desired.
