Silver birch wood on Wimbledon Common

Oil on canvas, 50x30cm unframed

I love silver birch trees, they are interesting to look at all year round.  This was a particularly sunny Autumnal day on Wimbledon Common and the trees were almost crying out to be painted.

I like using the canvas as part of the composition and in this painting I wanted to crop the top of the trees concentrating on the trunks rather than the whole tree.

It is not currently framed but I can organise framing if desired.
